At the May Brainerd Kennel Club Board of Directors’
Meeting, the board members voted to move all Brainerd
Kennel Club classes to Hunt’s Point this coming year.
For years, we have wished to have a “State of the Art”
facility available for us to use.  Peggy and Jim Wills,
owners of Hunts Point, have agreed to let the Kennel
Club rent their facilities on Thursday nights at
approximately the same cost that we pay for the National
Guard Armory.  Also, there will be no need to roll and
unroll mats since Hunts Point rings will have top matting
already laid.  We will also have access to the excellent
obedience, rally, and agility equipment, and class
members may arrange with Hunts Point to use these
facilities for practice sessions.

Hunts Point is located west of Highway 371 between
Nisswa and Pequot Lakes on County Road 29.
Purpose:

Brainerd Kennel Club exists to provide an opportunity for dog
owners to train their dogs to be good citizens and companions.
We educate members on topics pertinent to dog ownership,
care, and training. We also provide community services and
programs to provide dog owners the chance to meet and
socialize with others who care about dogs.
Activities:

Brainerd Kennel Club sponsors training classes for both
beginning and advanced dogs.  We hold an annual fun match for
both obedience trained and conformation dogs.  We provide
educational programs for members and also provide community
service programs such as visits to nursing homes in the area.

BKC club meetings are held on the second Thursday of each
month.
